Halloween Festivities

So the last couple of days have been fun filled with all our HaLLoWEen Traditions! Saturday we went to Boo at the Zoo. This is a really fun thing they do at the zoo here in Louisville. They turn the place into a big Halloween party. They have different areas all decked out in themes such as Petter Pan, Sherk, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Jurassic Park, etc. Each place has the characters and a booth to collect candy. Mason loved dressing up in his Incredibles costume and getting all the candy. On Saturday morning I told him that we would go to the zoo and he could dress in his costume after naptime. He said, "Mom I sooo Happy!!" And he had the biggest grin on his face. He was so excited that he couldn't even take a nap and ended up falling asleep on the car ride over. We had to wake him up once we got into the zoo. So he is a little out of it in the pictures, but what can you do?

Monday we carved pumpkins which was really fun, the pictures say it all...

Tonight we made our traditional caramel apples. We are getting quite efficient at making these. We have done it every year since we have been married and this year went pretty smooth. No major catastrophes, even with a 2 year old. The caramel didn't burn, neither did the chocolate. The crushed candy bar stayed in place, and the caramel didn't run to much. and we did it all in record time!!

the Finished Product!! Yum Yum!!!

Chocolate Soup!!

So the weather here has taken a turn for the worst!! This week has been really cold and rainy:( But the upside to the weather means warm hot chocolate!! I love having a mug of warm hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows on a cold rainy day. So this morning I fixed me up some and was drinking it while Mason was having his breakfast. He looked at it and said, soup mommy? I told him no, it's hot chocolate. A few minutes later he said "good chocolate soup mommy?" I had to laugh a bit. I guess from now on at our house hot chocolate will be called chocolate soup!!

I had to post these pictures. I took them about a year ago for a page I had to do for pebbles, but I love them. My sweet little boy with his cup of chocolate soup!! (In case you were wondering, I totally didn't give my then one year old a cup of hot chocolate and then let him sit on the couch. That would have been a disaster waiting to happen. The cup is actually empty, but don't tell anyone:)

Fun in Nashville!

So last week Mason and I got to go down to Nashville (which is only a couple hours south of here) because my mom was down there. Her brother lives there and he and his wife were going to Hawaii for a medical convention and they asked my mom to come out and watch there kids, (6 year old Holden and 2 year old twins, Rhys and Rachel). We had a lot of fun and Mason loved being with Grandma Debi!! Let me tell you though, three 2 year olds is a lot of work, even for two people. I think the picture says it all. I couldn't even get one good shot with all of them. I could not image having twins, let alone triplets!! We did have a great time, even when we got locked out of the house for 4 hours one day (a very long story, but a pretty funny one now that I think about it!) So thanks mom for the GREAT time, Mason is still talking about.

Picking Pumpkins

Fall Time Fun!!

We have had a fun last couple of weeks. Drew had a couple of days off last week for his fall break, and we took full advantage. One day we headed to Huber Farms to pick Pumpkins. It was a lot of fun. They also had a fun little kids area with tons of fall activities. A corn maze, mini tractor rides, animals and more. This time of year is so much fun, although you must take note of our clothing, yes we are in shorts, t-shirts, and flip flops! The weather has been crazy here. Unseasonable hot, but I am not complaining. This St. George girl prefers hot over cold any day!!

It's a....?

So today was the big day, we found out what we are having!! It was so fun! SO, its a...
BOY!!!!
We couldn't be happier! Boys are so much fun! Mason was especially happy, he said Brother YEAH! Everything else looked great. It is so amazing to me how much technology we have and that we can actually see pictures of our baby even when HE (It feels good to be able to say he and not he or she) is so tiny and just developing. Anyways, here is one more good shot of the profile. Oh how precious babies are!

5 months Today!!

So today I am officially 5 months along in the pregnancy. My how fast time goes. With Mason I took a picture every month starting at 5 months just to show how much I grew each month. I decided to do the same this time around mainly to compare the difference between pregnancy #1 and #2. The second time around I definitely feel like my body has already been stretch and is totally growing a lot faster (any of you girls experienced the same thing?) I will post the pictures and let you decided which picture is the first pregnancy and what one is the second.

I know, it is not to hard to tell! I like to think it is the difference in the shirts I am wearing, but who am I kidding. Oh well, its like one of my friends said, "Embrace it! You have a good reason to get big!"

Friday Night Fun

Mason and Kallie playing on the bleachers!
Sadie was quiet interested in Drew's Ear

Family Photo Op

Looking at something very interesting

Last night we had a fun night with the Ences. We got little Caesar's 5 buck Pizza and went to the park and ate it. Pizza at the Park!! We locked Mason and Kallie up in the baseball field and let them run wild. Boy were they having the time of their lives. Immediately the shoes came off and they got really I mean REALLY dirty playing in the dirt. They ran and yelled and played to their hearts content. Eric and Drew had fun throwing the football around and of course they were able to turn even that into a competition (who could throw the farthest or something like that). Janae and I had fun just watching everybody and snapping the camera. We had to work really hard to get Mason and Kallie to both look at the camera at the same time, and I am not sure if we ever accomplished this, but we always give it a try. As we were leaving Mason said "I like the Park, I go again, right now!!" So I guess you can count this little family outing was a success!
