Camping

In November we took a camping trip with a couple of our friends, The Rhodes and The Shaws. November was the perfect time for a Camping trip here in Florida, and we all had a great time. We had orginally planned to go camping in the keys, but because husbands (okay my husband) wasn't able to get off until Friday evening we decided it wasn't worth it to drive down and then have to set up in the dark, so we went to a park/camp grounds near our house (Like 15 minutes away) called Markham Park.

 Tyler getting the fire ready
Doug getting coals ready for the dutch oven cobbler
Drew cooking up those tin foil dinners (and Hayden just chilling on the table behind)

The Shaw's (Doug, Rachel, Gavin, Liam)
The Rhodes (minus Owen) Brittany, Tyler, collette
 Cooking mallows over the fire
 Hayden all ready for bed
Mason had fun making things out of tin foil!
The next morning, the dads took all these boys fishing..

And the moms took the babies to the park

We also went and watch the mini speed boat races

And went and watched the remote control airplanes fly

Yes camping is a lot of work, and yes it was a long night with not a lot of sleep, but really it is all so worth it. We had such a fun time and made some great memories, ones I hope my boys will always remember.
It really was a great weekend with great friends!

Camping Trip

For Labor Day weekend we went on a camping trip. We had so much fun. Mason was especially excited about it and said his favorite part was roasting marshmellows. He liked to roast them, but didn't really eat them. Tanner on the other head, ate and ate and ate. He had 3 hot dogs for dinner (you can't beat a hot dog cooked over a camp fire) and you can see were he spent his time after dinner (at the treat table). We (and everyone else for that matter) paid for this that night. Let just say it was a LONG night. The poor little guy had a bad tummy ache and cried and cried all night long. I really felt like a great mother for letting my son pig out. So sorry to everyone for the lack of sleep that night. We still had a great time! The next day we went a hiked Natural Bridge. It was a fun hike and the end is beautiful.Tanner loving the TREAT tableThe place where we stayed had a lake you could fish in (catch and release) the kids had a great time catching fish.Mason and his fishClimbing TreesTwo Boys looking for troubleGroup shot during the hikePart of the hikeOn top of Natural BridgeThe other side, looking back at natural bridge. CaMpING

A couple of nights ago we load up the car and kids and went camping with a few friends. It was quite the adventure getting there (I will spare you the details) but when we finally got there, we had a blast. Mason LOVED the whole camping thing: Fire, Sleeping in a Tent, Smores, Dirt, Flashlights, Lanterns, Roasting Mallows, all a kids dream. Here are a few pictures from our fun little adventure.
