Sitting on Santas Lap

We went to Bass Pro Shop at the beginning of the month. I came home and was looking at this picture and thought what is wrong with this picture?...

Oh wait, that's it, my kids are in t-shirts, shorts, and flip flops and they are sitting on Santa's lap. It just doesn't seem right. Welcome to Christmas in South Florida!

One of our 12 days of Christmas activities was to enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate together. But having hot chocolate now seems like having hot chocolate in the summer so we opted to go out for ice cream instead! I do love the weather here, but it definitely doesn't feel like Christmas.

Happy Half Birthday to Hayden

Happy Half Birthday to Hayden!
That's right our little buddy is 6 months old today! We can hardly believe it.
He is such a sweet good little baby.
He loves playing on the ground and has a few favorite toys he loves to chew on.
He loves to roll and is getting close to sitting up.
Likes puffs and mum mums, but still can't figure out the rice cereal. He rolls it around in his mouth, then ends up spitting it out.
His hair has really started coming in and dad says it is time for a hair cut!
Love you little guy!

Mason thought we need cupcakes for his half birthday. I told him that Hayden couldn't even have cake yet and he said that's okay we can eat them and just give Hayden some puffs.

Thanksgiving Break

During the break we had so much fun with our cousins and family. Of course we had to go to the beach. Everyone had fun time and the kids loved finding jelly fish that had washed up on shore.

Wade, Julie, Drew, and I braved Walmart at 10pm on Thursday night. It was crazy, but we got what we needed so it was worth it!Friday we went to Key Largo. We rented Kayaks

and went snorkeling
and on a fun hike that ended in an orchard

On Saturday we spent the day at the Everglades. We went on an air boat ride and saw alligators
Hayden was all set with his ear plugs (the ride got pretty loud and we all had ear plugs but Hayden looked especially cute in his:)
He totally loved the ride!

Seeing the alligatorsA little baby alligator
The boys even got to hold an alligator, which they thought was the coolest!Good thing his mouth was taped shut!

And last we went to Shark Valley.
It is a fun biking/walking trail through the Everglades. We also got to see a few alligators here, right to the side of the path.We had such a great time the whole week. The boys LOVED having their cousins here to play with and we loved having visitors. Thanks for coming and seeing us G & G and Wade, Julie and Family, we had the best time!

Thanksgiving Day

We had a great Thanksgiving! We got to have Thanksgiving at our house this year and had family come out and visit. Wade, Julie, Hallie, Kaleb, Anna, and Bryson, as well as Grandpa and Grandma Steel got to come. Thursday morning we cooked and cooked then at around 1:00pm we ate. Later that afternoon we went to the movies and saw Arthur Christmas.
It was just a fun fun day.The Cooks!
