Cupcakes and Mothers Tea

The Friday before Mason's birthday, I got to take cupcakes for his class to celebrate. Hayden and I went during lunch and brought Subway sandwiches for Mason (one of his favorites). It was fun to spend lunch with him!

That same day, I got to come back a little later and go to a Mothers Tea that Mason's class had for all the moms in honor of Mother's Day that Sunday. They served us Tea (Mason made sure their was Apple Juice for me) and cookies then did a short program with songs and a few plays. It was fun to see Mason and his class.

DERBY

The first Saturday in May always means, DERBY!! Even though we don't live in Kentucky anymore, we still like to carry the tradition on and do our own little Derby festivities.

We all picked our horses and cheered them on. Tanner's horse won! He was so excited. He picked the winning horse last year as well.

Because you can't buy derby pie here in Florida, I decided to make it from scratch. I have never been a big fan of derby pie, but Drew thought it turned out yum-o!
Earlier in the day we went swimming with friends, and played a little at the park!

Bahaman Cruise

This is going way back to the end of January, first of February, but I wanted to make sure I documented it. Way back then, Drew and I were able to take a vacation without the kids! It had been a long time and was well deserved. We booked a cruise and got Virgil and Alice, Bron and Megan, and Brinn and Micheal King to come along too. We had an absolute blast! Great food, great company, relaxing, everything a vacation should be! We left from Orlando and sailed to 3 different stops in the Bahamas. Here are a TON of pictures from the trip.
First stop... Freeport
Here we went downtown to some shops and to the beach, then had lunch at a fun little place.

A few pictures from one of the formal dinners
Next stop was Nassau

Here we took a taxi ride to the Atlantis Resort, checked that out, then went to a beach.

This was in the resort, couldn't not take a picture of this!
 Loved the clear blue water!

Next we went to the Queens Staircase

Shot of the lido deck pool area
 Beautiful Sunrise/Sunsets
Last stop was Half Moon Kay, which was a private island, so it was nice to not be bombarded with the locals. The water here was also amazing and we did some snorkeling here and saw some pretty fish.

The sand was especially nice, like powder.
The rest of the trip we just had fun eating, visiting, and playing games (the two favorites were scum and ticket to ride)
The guys all entered into the corn hole tournament and Drew and Bron ended up winning. They got sweet trophies!

Amazing vacation! So glad we were able to go.
