Camping Trip

For Labor Day weekend we went on a camping trip. We had so much fun. Mason was especially excited about it and said his favorite part was roasting marshmellows. He liked to roast them, but didn't really eat them. Tanner on the other head, ate and ate and ate. He had 3 hot dogs for dinner (you can't beat a hot dog cooked over a camp fire) and you can see were he spent his time after dinner (at the treat table). We (and everyone else for that matter) paid for this that night. Let just say it was a LONG night. The poor little guy had a bad tummy ache and cried and cried all night long. I really felt like a great mother for letting my son pig out. So sorry to everyone for the lack of sleep that night. We still had a great time! The next day we went a hiked Natural Bridge. It was a fun hike and the end is beautiful.Tanner loving the TREAT tableThe place where we stayed had a lake you could fish in (catch and release) the kids had a great time catching fish.Mason and his fishClimbing TreesTwo Boys looking for troubleGroup shot during the hikePart of the hikeOn top of Natural BridgeThe other side, looking back at natural bridge. Trip to Brian and Ashlee's

The last few days of our trip we went Ashlee and Brian's to visit and wait for the baby to come. When we walked into their house Tanner started looking at Ashlee like he knew something wasn't right. He kept pointing to her belly and laughing. It was the funniest thing.Ignore the silly alligator hat. Kenzie got that for Mason at the dollar store and he wouldn't take it off for days.

While we were there we got to go see the Smiths!! Mason was seriously SOOO excited to go see Abby and Parker! The Three doing what they do best...playing and making messes!
Oh what fun they had. What cute Boys!Macy just hanging out on Ashlee's belly, she thought it made a nice seat! When they left a few months ago, Macy had like no hair, I died when I saw this cute little piggy on her head! Seriously the cutest, and walking all over the place!Me and Jenni!
Could you guys just move back!! Oh how we miss you. We had such a great time seeing you and Mason loved every minute of it! I also got to see my friend, Jocey and her cute kids, Andee, Brea, and Gage.

Grandpa and Grandmas

After the first week of our trip, Drew had to go back home for school, and the boys and I stayed. We had a great time. My parents were in the middle of adding on to their house while we were there, and Mason just loved doing projects with my dad. He loved going to the "work store" (aka Home Depot) and especially liked helping put the sprinkler system in. He even drew up a plan for my dad to follow!Reading off the plan!

One quick funny story... one day while Mason and Grandpa were working outside my dad said to Mason "This sure is hard work." Mason then replied..."Yeah, but hard work is good for ya, it makes your blood pump!" My dad asked him who told you that, he said, "My Dad." He seriously says the funniest things some times.Mason and Aunt Kenzie!Playing Rock BandBecause of the addition to the house, a lot of stuff was in storage, including the toys, but that didn't stop Tanner from having a good time. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma, we had such a great time!!

Kolob

After the reunion we went to Kolob to my grandparents cabin. Mason loves going fishing with grandpa. This year he also got to go crawdad fishing. They had a great time and they caught a ton. Drew decided we need to cook and eat them, so the did.

Steel Family Reunion

The first part of our trip was spent in Brianhead with Drew's family at the annual Steel family reunion. Wade and Julie were in charge this year and put together a fabulous reunion. We stayed in a beautiful cabin, did lots of fun activities, and loved just being with everybody.

We alway have a scavenger hunt for the kids. This was during it.

My super talented Sister-in-law, Tonya made all of these outfits for the kids that they got at the end of the scavenger hunt. (The whole hunt was Disney themed). The kids enjoying the hot tub!

Were Back!!

Okay so I have been on a bit of a blogging break, but I am back!! Back from vacation and all the summer fun! The only problem is that I just don't know where to begin. We had such a great time visiting family and friends back home and had some fun adventures and I need to share it all, but where to begin?? Well I guess I will start with the most exciting....

Baby Bowen David Hansen was born a week ago on August 21st, 2009
weighing 8lbs 5oz 21 inches long.Proud new mom and dad!
One reason we wanted to go home in August is so we could meet this little guy. My sister was due August 18th so I thought I would be safe if we left the 20th (Which made our stay 3 weeks, two of which were without dad). So the 18th came and went, then the 19th came and went, still no baby. We flew out early on the 20th and still no baby. I was so sad! After flying all day, (by myself with my two boys, lets just say it was an ADVENTURE) we finally arrive and Drew picks us up. We get on the free way to came home and I call my mom to tell her we made it. She tells me that Ashlee was just admitted to the hospital. SERIOUSLY, just my luck to miss it by hours. Later that night after 3 hours of pushing, little Bowen was born. I was in tears that I wasn't there to hold and squeeze and love him. Bowen is Mason and Tanners 1st cousin on my side and we can't wait for Christmas to come so we can meet him!! And also, on a side note, all my friends back home (4 of them) who were pregnant had there babies while I was gone. One was due before I left, but the rest weren't due until the end of August, first of September! It all back fired on me. I missed them all!!
