I did it!

I did it!! Did what you ask? Well, I ran in a 5K last Saturday. That's right, you read that right. Me, who is sooo not a runner, and has never enjoyed running ran in a 5k. It all started last Thursday when my cute VT called and left a message on my phone. It went something like this, hey michele, I have an extra spot for someone to run in the 5k run on saturday and I want you to do it. It will be so fun and you have to do it. Call me back and I will totally talk you in to it. After listening to the message I totally laughed out loud. No way was I going to be able to do that, I haven't even ran since the summer!! Well Saturday morning came and I found myself at the starting line downtown running the 5k. The first run as part of the Triple Crown. (The triple crown is a 5k, a 10k and a 10 mile run all ran within a 6 week period). So I have to admit that it was actually really fun. It was such a nice day and it was a fun atmosphere. After the race the kids ran in a kids fun run. Mason was excited because he got to wear a REAL number like all the other racers. They also got a t-shirt and a back pack full of goodies. Their race was a little 50 yd dash and it was fun to watch!
