Summer Time Fun

We have been enjoying some wonderful summer time weather the last few weeks! Good weather means one thing to my kids, LOTS of time outside! We have been taking lots of walks and bike rides, gone to the splash pad at the Zoo, been to our pool quite a bit (Mason and Tanner both LOVE being in the water) and Enjoying LOTS of these:POPSICLES!!What's that plastic lid thing on the bottom of the popsicle you ask? Well it is just the greatest little invention for messy popsicle eating kids like mine. I got this idea from a friend (Janae) who I think found it somewhere on the internet. Instead of throwing away those lids that come on the bread crumbs cans (or formula cans, or anything like that) save them, use a knife and make a slit in it the size of a popsicle stick. Stick the popsicle through the lid and there you go, a nifty invention to catch all the sticky messy stuff. They have worked great for my kids. Tanner actually holds the sides of the lid, but it still catches the dripples and keeps him somewhat clean.
These are at the Zoo splash pad! Tanner was just LOVING it!I love this Picture of Mason. He was waiting for the water to come up so he could do some kind of Kungfu Panda move on it, crazy kid!!

Ok...that's the coolest trick I've ever seen. We just ate popsicles today and I ended up moping the whole kitchen floor after and throwing both girls in the bath tub! What a mess. How perfect for me that you posted that today!

Love the pictures you took of Mason...what a cutie. And you are an amazing photographer!

good times --I love summer! I wish I could watch Mason do his Kong Fu panda move -That Splash park is awesome! I need to try the popsycle trick --we use them vs otter pops because the girlies still haven't figured how to push them up
