Derby Day

We just celebrated our last Derby living here in Kentucky. So sad! We Love derby time here in Louisville. It always starts with Thunder, which we were planning on going to, Gandpa and Grandma Steel even came out to see the big event, but plans were canceled when the weather turned COLD and RAINY! We also love going to the balloon Glimmer on the water front, but again because of the CRAZY amount of rain we have been getting, the water front down by the Ohio river was literally covered in water. The fun playground the kids like to play at was completely submerged in water, so that activity was scratched! Mason did fun things at school all week including a derby float parade were they made floats out of shoe boxes with themes from their favorite book. Luckily the day of the Derby it didn't rain to much, and we were able to have a fun party with Friends. We made it a combined derby/graduation party for all the grads. In addition to the derby/grad party it was also Ali's Birthday, so we got to sing Happy Birthday to her!

Tanners shinner! Before we left for the party Mason and Tanner bonked heads and Tanner ended up with this over his eye. It looks like a beauty today!
