Spring Fever!!

SO we have it BAD, Spring Fever that is. I seriously can't wait for it to start warming up around here. We have had the craziest weather. Last week we had an ice storm. They closed all the schools down, including the dental school. Actually I think the whole city closed down, it was pretty crazy. I had never experienced an ice storm before. By Thursday night there was a thick sheet of ice everywhere. On cars, roads, grass, everything was covered. It was kind of fun to listen to it as is came down, it made almost a crackling noise. Anyways, I took a few pictures, but they really don't do it justice.

The spring fever started when I noticed Mason pulling out things from the closet which included, his sand bucket and shovel, the sunscreen from the bathroom, and his flip flops! Oh how I can not wait for the flip flops!!

I've been Bag tagged!!

Janae bag tagged me, so I thought I would share with you all what is in my diaper bag right now.

I know, really exciting. An extra onsie (you never now when you might
have a baby blow out), Extra undies for Mas (He is potty training). Of course, diapers, wipes, and diaper rash cream. My wallet, coupon file thing, chapstick, lotion, hand sanitizer, pens, paper, bandaids, tylenol, and of course the treat bribes. Oh and one more thing I will be happy to remove anytime if only it would warm up around here, mittens for Mason and I.
Okay, so now I bag tag Tonya, Julie, Ashley, and Megan!!

You know you have a newborn in your home when...

So I was thinking about all the things that come with having a newborn in your home and what a short time they stay so little. In fact today Mason was looking at Tanner and said "Mom, look Tanner is getting big and strong like me!" This makes me so sad that my little baby is growing so fast. Today he is 4 weeks old! I love every stage, but their is something special about a brand new newborn. Anyways I thought it would be fun to record a few things that come with having a baby in your home so...

You Know you have a newborn in your home when...
(In no particular order)
1. There are little tiny diapers scattered all over the house.
2. You wash your sheets one day, and the very next day you have to wash them again because they have been peed all over. (Moms with boys know what I am talking about)
3. Your bathroom is stocked full of all the magic baby potions (Mylicon drops, little noses saline drops, yummy smelling lotions, wipes, baby wash, etc.)
4. Your laundry load has increased 10 fold due to all the blankets and clothes that have the not so pleasant spit up smell.
5. You find yourself falling asleep on the couch in the middle of the day with your little one cuddled up on your chest.
6. Your day revolves around feedings
7. At times you tend to feel like bessie the cow!!
8. Getting to take a shower is a serious luxury!
9. Your days and nights and days all run into one another and you can't remember how many times you were up the night before.
10. You have tons of extra dishes lying around that need to be return to all the wonderful people who have brought your family meals!
11. You get to pick out cute little baby outfits to dress your little one in everyday.
12. There is such a special spirit in your home, one that you want to last forever.

So thankful for moms!!

I just have to give a huge THANK YOU to my mom. She came out a week ago to meet baby Tanner and to help out with everything. She was so nice to drop everything she had going on and switch her flight so she could come sooner (With Tanner coming 2 weeks early the original plans didn't work out to well). Anyways, she totally spoiled me with everything she did: my grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning (Bathrooms and all), staying up with Tanner (and Mason) at night so I could get some rest, potty training Mason, Keeping Mason happy with attention and surprises, gosh the lists goes on. After leaving yesterday I feel a little lost. I came home from the airport yesterday and thought, gosh I have to fix lunch. Anyways, moms are great and I am so thankful for my mom and all that she does for my little Family. Thanks So Much Mom, you're the BEST!!

Baby Tanner

Baby Tanner!!

So Tanner is now a week old and we have loved every minute with him. He is such a sweet little guy. So pleasant and content. Mason loves being the big brother and has done really well adjusting to having a baby around. He loves to be moms big helper and goes and gets me anything I need for the baby. There really is nothing better than having the sweet spirit of a new baby in your home. We love our baby Tanner so Much!!
